Molybdenum sheet is used for fabrication of sintering boats, high temperature furnace heating elements and heat shields. Surface can be supplied in a shiny, matte, or as-rolled condition; dependent upon thickness and width parameters of molybdenum sheet. Molybdenum flat products are rolled and annealed to provide the optimum condition for the desired end use.

With 99.95% purity fine material, we produce high quality Molybdenum Sheet as one or our excellent and hot product. The thinnest Molybdenum Sheet we supply is only 0.05mm and the width of our Molybdenum Sheet is 610mm. The longest Molybdenum Sheet is 3,000mm. Our standard Molybdenum Sheet is 24" x 100" with thickness of .01" and .015".

Pure Molybdenum Plate Molybdenum Sheet (2)

We also supply, excluding Molybdenum Sheet, pure Molybdenum Sheet, TZM Molybdenum Sheet, and MoLa alloy sheet. All these molybdenum Sheet are widely used in electrode, furnace elements, vacuum evaporation boat, heat shields, and vacuum furnace assemblies.

Molybdenum plates are plate-shaped materials made from high-purity metallic molybdenum. Their properties stem from molybdenum's unique physicochemical properties:

**Outstanding High-Temperature Resistance:** With a melting point of 2620℃, it retains over 50% of its room-temperature mechanical strength even at 1600℃, making it an ideal material for high-temperature furnaces and aerospace components.

**Excellent Thermal and Electrical Conductivity:** With a thermal conductivity of 138 W/(m·K) and an electrical conductivity 35% that of copper, far exceeding that of stainless steel, it is suitable for heat dissipation or conductive structures in electronic devices.

**Low Expansion and High Stability:** With a coefficient of thermal expansion of only 5.1 × 10⁻⁶/℃, it has high compatibility with ceramic materials, reducing high-temperature thermal stress and is often used in composite material transition layers.

**Strong Corrosion Resistance and Vacuum Adaptability:** Resistant to corrosion from non-oxidizing acids such as hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid, and exhibiting extremely low volatilization in a vacuum environment, it is suitable for semiconductor and aerospace components.

Typical Application Scenarios

Ultra-thin Molybdenum Plates

Electronics Industry: Chip electrode leads, vacuum tube gates;

Coating Targets: Used for sputtering wear-resistant conductive coatings on glass/plastic surfaces.

Conventional Molybdenum Plates

High-Temperature Equipment: Sapphire growth furnace reflectors, vacuum furnace heating elements;

Medical and Energy: Corrosion-resistant chemical containers, nuclear reactor structural components.

Special Needs Scenarios

Aerospace: Rocket nozzle coatings, high-temperature resistant connectors;

Sensors: High-temperature resistive elements, utilizing their stable electrical properties.

Molybdenum plates, with their irreplaceable performance, continue to drive the development of high-end manufacturing and technology industries.

Why buy molybdenum plates from us?

Molybdenum plates are made from pressed and sintered molybdenum slabs through a rolling process. Typically, plates with a thickness of 2-30 mm are called molybdenum plates, those with a thickness of 0.2-2 mm are called molybdenum sheets, and those thinner than 0.2 mm are called molybdenum foils. Different thicknesses of molybdenum plates require different types of rolling mills. Thinner molybdenum sheets and foils have better curling properties and can be manufactured using tension continuous rolling mills, supplied in coils, and are called molybdenum strips.

FOTMA ALLOY has 9 sets of rolling mills of different specifications, providing customers with molybdenum plates, sheets, foils, and strips of various thicknesses and widths. In addition to pure molybdenum plates, FOTMA ALLOY can also manufacture molybdenum-lanthanum alloy (high-temperature molybdenum) plates and molybdenum-zirconium-titanium alloy (TZM) plates.

Characteristics of our molybdenum plate products:

Our company can perform vacuum annealing and leveling treatments on our molybdenum plates. Our plates are all cross-rolled, and we pay close attention to grain size control during the rolling process. Therefore, the plates have excellent bending and stamping properties.

Molybdenum plate processing method: Processing is carried out according to the specifications and dimensions required by customer drawings.
