Three New Tungsten Carbide Bars Debut

On May 7th, FOTMA ALLOY successfully held a new product launch event for its tungsten carbide bars in Kunshan, themed “Striving for Excellence, Empowering Intelligent Manufacturing.” The company officially launched three new carbide bar products, precisely addressing the needs of the high-end manufacturing industry and deepening its regional market presence.

YK10 CARBIDE BAR

The three new products launched at this event specifically address pain points in the high-end machining field, showcasing the company’s innovative strength.

One is the YK10 series spiral hole bar, which employs unique extrusion uniform rheology-deformation control technology and highly reliable, highly uniform temperature field sintering technology. This achieves high precision, high toughness, and long service life, solving technical challenges such as short lifespan, easy breakage, and easy wear-through of deep hole drill bits. It is particularly suitable for the base material of deep hole drill bits made from difficult-to-machine materials.

Secondly, the YK40 grade utilizes premium nanocrystalline WC, employs precise composition design through materials science and computer simulation, and utilizes refined manufacturing processes to achieve a balanced improvement in the three key indicators of hardness, strength, and toughness in the bar stock. This effectively solves the problems of abrasive wear and micro-chipping in cutting tools, making it perfectly suited for machining high-hardness materials with a hardness of HRC58 and above.

Thirdly, the YK25T grade utilizes premium high-homogeneity, high-dispersion WC. Through inhibitor dispersion strengthening, binder phase strengthening, interface strengthening, and double-temperature high-pressure sintering technology, it possesses high toughness, high strength, and high stability. This solves technical challenges such as adhesive wear, easy chipping, and vibration in harsh machining processes, making it particularly suitable as a matrix material for machining tools of titanium alloys and stainless steel.

Currently, the manufacturing industry is accelerating its transformation towards intelligence, greening, and integration. Domestic industrial clusters are continuously raising the performance requirements for key cemented carbide materials, while structural changes in the tungsten industry are reshaping the competitive landscape of the industrial chain. FOTMA ALLOY’s launch of these new products is a concrete example of the company’s response to industry changes and its commitment to empowering industrial upgrading.

This new product launch not only provides more competitive material options for high-end manufacturing, but also further expands the brand’s influence. In the future, FOTMA ALLOY will continue to strengthen technological innovation, improve its product and service system, leverage its integrated industrial chain advantages, and work hand in hand with upstream and downstream partners to help the manufacturing industry transform and upgrade, and promote the development of the cemented carbide industry towards high added value and green sustainability.
